Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer/System Administrator

Location: Princeton, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months

1.       Designing and developing DevOps processes, procedures and supporting automation: years

2.       DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible: years

3.       Writing custom scripts using Python in Linux environment: years

4.       Utilizing Docker containers and a linked tool chain of new technologies: years

5.       Migrating Build/Deployment jobs and DevOps tool sets to AWS environment: years

6.       Create and update Jenkins jobs in order to build and deploy complex applications utilizing Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible: years

7.       Maven POMs in order to create the build scripts/jobs necessary to deploy code: years

 

Description:

 

·       Maintain infrastructure and work with team that is automating deployment process. Address infrastructure related issues (e.g. server restarts) in production.

·       Develop/configure tools and automate processes for environment management, environment change management and monitoring to improve visibility and disruption/incident response time (OS, Cloud, Third party stack)

 

Build and Release Automation:

 ·       Responsible for managing, defining, designing and developing DevOps processes, procedures and supporting automation.

·       Managing setup and Configuration of a set of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Ansible etc and creating the Continuous Integration pipeline for the client Metrics application.

·       Writing custom scripts using Python to facilitate an automated deployment of new versions of software across the Linux environment.

·       Building our next-gen micro service platform, utilizing Docker containers and a linked tool chain of new technologies.

·       Responsible for migrating Build/Deployment jobs and DevOps tool sets to AWS environment.

·       Create and update Jenkins jobs in order to build and deploy complex applications utilizing Bitbucket, Artifactory, Ansible  etc.

·       Have a solid understanding of Maven POMs in order to create the build scripts/jobs necessary to deploy code.
