Job Title: SQL BI Developer
Location: NYC (downtown)
Duration: 3 months +

 

Visa: USC or GC only

Overview:

• Under managerial direction, the Data warehouse Developer will work within the Business Intelligence support team to design, develop, test, maintain, and support data analytics and reporting solutions created within SQL Server.
• The qualified individual will work closely with other team members to develop complex ETL/Procedure processes to be imported into SQL Server data warehouse platform which will assist with data warehouse modifications to meet customer requirements.
• Candidate must be capable of managing multiple tasks and development efforts simultaneously, be a self-starter, and capable of taking ideas through to implementation.

Responsibilities:

• SQL Server Data warehouse development
• Participate in the design, build, release and deployment procedures
• Develop and maintain reporting solutions

Provide technical development for SQL Server suite of tools:

• Maintain ongoing functionality of SQL Server and hardware environments
• Perform problem assessment, resolution and documentation
• Validate data returned in all reports, provide a detailed analysis of data, and identify data quality issues
• Tune SQL performance and efficiency
• Create ad-hoc reports as requested
• Document new development, procedures, or test plans as needed
• Provide production support as well as monitor the business intelligence support queue to resolve data issues in a timely manner.
• This position also requires the person to be on-call for production support based on rotation policy.

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of core SQL Server development with progressive experience.
• SSIS developer for pulling data from different data sources
• Excellent T-SQL knowledge
• Performance tuning and optimization using SQL Server
• Expert in writing stored procedures, functions, triggers etc.
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be familiar with SDLC and documentation
• Must be a self-starter
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Retail experience preferred
• ERwin experience preferred
• Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
