Description:

 

·       We need a person who can write programs in Python to extract data from unstructured text sources and create structured sources (e.g. file in csv format, DBs), and run natural language processing on the structured sources.

·       Experience with Hadoop is a must.

·       Experience with R is a plus.

·       Design, develop and implement object-oriented re-usable software.

 

Specialized Knowledge, Experience, and Technical Skills:

·       Minimum years of work experience needed -- general business experience vs. specifically related experience (e.g., computer skills, LAN knowledge, graphics).

·       Please list languages, platform, mfr. (e.g. Microsoft), version, and Integrated Development Environment (IDE).

·       Ex: Visual C, Borland C, C++, Visual Basic, Java, NT3.51/NT 4.0, Visual Studio ver. 7.0.

·       All qualifications are assumed to be required unless stated preferred.

 

Skills:

·       Minimum 3-5 years' experience preferably in the financial industry.

·       Knowledge of state of the art testing tools such as JTest to validate standards, guidelines, code coverage and accuracy.

·       Product Documentation (Javadoc's).

·       Good communication skills.

·       JAVA, JavaScript, JTest, JUNIT, JPROBE, WebSphere, RAD, NGSA/ Spring Tool Suite (STS).

·       Experience with MS Office products (MS Word, Access/Excel), Rational Rose, PVCS Version Manager and Subversion.

 

Optional:

·       Knowledge of Unix commands or scripts and WebServices.
