Integration Tester || Woodbury, NY

Role: Integration Tester

Contract: 6 months extendable

Location: Woodbury, NY prefer local or at least willing to make commute  

 

Candidate should have experience with digital video set-top box testing, developing test plans /test cases.  Understand requirements. Documenting bugs and test results.  Experience should include applications such as Program Guides, DVR, Pay-Per-View, Video on Demand, Parental Controls, Caller ID, STB diagnostics and Video Quality testing. Familiar with reporting and tracking defects using Jira and/or ALM. Familiar with automation tools.

 

Job Description:

• Candidate should have experience in working with various aspects of video delivery, including Video On Demand, Switched Digital Television, and Digital Video.

 

• Candidate should have a basic understanding of RF distribution networks.

 

• Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced and always changing environment.

 

• Candidate must be able to work independently, efficiently and effectively in a high-paced and high impact working environment. 

 

• Strong organizational skills.

 

• Must be flexible to change work schedules as needed

 

• Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.

Skills

• Good understanding of verification test plans, test execution, results collaboration and bug reporting
• OS platforms Unix/Linux, Windows
• Basic understanding of Application servers (Tomcat, weblogic, jboss, glassfish) and Oracle Databases a plus

Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide root cause analysis
