Contract for 24 months in a major oil and gas company in Houston.
They are embarking on a migration to the cloud, this person would report directly to the dev lead. It will be a migration of a new application and about 10 existing to Amazon Cloud Services.
So they will set up a Dev Ops model while supporting migration to the cloud.
Must have:
· DevOps experience
· Java/.NET intermediate level
· Unit testing frameworks (Junit, NUnit, Selenium)
· Agile practices
· Automated build/deployment tools (e.g. Jenkins)
· DB experience (Oracle/SQL Server/Postgress)
· Scripting languages (Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux/Unix shell scripts)
Desirable
· Setting up / maintaining infrastructure (Windows/Linux servers)
· Working in AWS environment
· Networking infrastructure troubleshooting (Wireshark)
· ETL tools (Informatica, Camel, Microsoft SSIS)
Note: We are working with Tier-1 vendor requirement.
