Role: ServiceNow CMDB Consultant.

Duration: 6 months in Seattle, WA

Via: GC, GC EAD o citizen

 

Must have very strong CMDB / Discovery

 

This developer is responsible for owning and maturing the CMDB Discovery process, including custom probe development. They need broad technical understanding of various system infrastructure technologies and how they communicate. This requires a strong understanding of Configuration Management and the ability to develop and maintain Business Service Maps (BSMs).

Requirements:

·  Experience with Windows, UNIX, network and storage

·  Experience with JavaScript, Perl/Shell, and PowerShell

·  Experience with WMI, SSH, SNMP, CIM

·  Experience with various web technologies (XML/SOAP/REST, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP) or comparable web design

·  Preferred training in ServiceNow Discovery

·  Preferred training in Scripting in ServiceNow

·  Preferred degree in Computer Science

Primary Responsibilities:

·  Responsible for the support and discovery of foundational CI data for the CMDB

·  Identify opportunities to expand and mature CMDB capabilities aligned with technical and operational team goals

·  Fulfill requests for data additions to the CMDB

·  Document process for Configuration Management data acquisition

·  Troubleshoot issues with discovery

·  Ensure CI data is consistent with reports and audits

Supplemental Responsibilities:

·  Perform operational duties by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans & reviews

·  Drive compliance with IT Service Management standards

·  Collaborate to develop a global view of CI data

·  Identify system deficiencies and recommend solutions

·  Collaborate with Asset Management for related records
