- Job Role Messaging Engineer
- Location Seattle, WA
- Duration 6 months
This role will support cross-departmental collaboration and internal communications with staff throughout the Global IT, Brand Level IT organizations and business units, as well as promoting a positive work environment that supports consistency and drives efficiency throughout the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Participates in the effort to deploy and support the Enterprise Collaboration infrastructure services, including the infrastructure required to support new business requirements, high availability and disaster recovery
2. Proven track record of engineering excellence in the implementation of global messaging and collaboration technologies that scale, are manageable, reliable and cost-efficient.
3. Extensive experience in the deployment and support of Microsoft's messaging systems across large, global installations with multiple large, medium and small office locations.
4. In-depth expertise in the analysis, installation, configuration and implementation of Microsoft Exchange 2010/2013 and Office 365.
5. Expertise with utilities and management tools related to the Microsoft messaging and collaboration systems
6. Expertise in implementing and supporting mobile messaging services
7. Expertise in implementing and supporting messaging monitoring & reporting solutions.
8. Hands on experience with Microsoft Lync 2010/2013 and Skype for Business Instant Messaging, Audio, Video, file sharing and Collaboration.
9. Expertise in the installation, configuration and support of messaging archiving and compliance technologies
10. Ensures that new or modified infrastructure interacts appropriately and ensures appropriate operational engagement models and processes are in place to support systems supported by the group.
11. Ensures Collaboration & Client Systems projects adhere to Global IT Infrastructure standards and security policies
12. Hands on experience with Active Directory, DNS, Windows Server, IIS and PKI a must.
13. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, actively listens and effectively conveys written and spoken information with both senior business executives and technical staff.
14. Ability to manage projects independently.
15. Excellent interpersonal skills, and effective in interfacing with internal and external customers fostering collaboration and establishing strong partnerships, teamwork and relationships.
16. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team. Is self-motivated and sees challenges as opportunities to improve services.
17. Sets expectations and meet commitments.
