MOI:-Telephonic followed by Skype Position Summary The Application Development Lead is responsible for managing and leading the project's PeopleSoft and SOA Application Development teams of the clients Initiative. This position will lead a team of application developers that are responsible for designing, documenting, building, unit testing and supporting code, configuration, and programs for PeopleSoft HCM and Oracle SOA. The Application Development Lead will lead the team to successfully realize technical solutions, provide outstanding support for all phases of the project, and collaborate and support other project team members as required for a successful launch of the new system-wide implementation of UCPath. The candidate will assist the team in the design, development, and implementation of models, frameworks, roadmaps, and best practices for application development of enterprise-level applications and systems and their supporting technologies. Duties of this position include the following: • Manage and Lead a team of application developers to design, implement, and support technical solutions in PeopleSoft HCM and Oracle SOA for supporting the new PeopleSoft HCM system based on input gathered from a variety of sources including Business Systems Analysts, functional consultants, UC locations, analysis results and industry best practices. Provide alternatives to customizations based on best practices. • Initiate and recommend changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Develop and ensure compliance with such standards and other technical documentation for project support activities. Understand industry practices and project policies and procedures relating to work assignments. Ensure that System Development Life Cycle and change management procedures are followed and documented to support system development and change requests. • Provide overall technical vision and strategy for the Project Application Development team during the CEMLI development and support effort. • Develop technical work plans and estimates for planned projects and drive completion of these projects to meet planned delivery dates. • Provide technical guidance and support to PMO and functional team on design recommendations • Manage development activities of the offshore development team. • Provide technical PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM and PeopleTools 8.55 subject matter expertise and leadership to the team. Collaborate with other staff on complex technical issues and provide alternative solutions. • Lead and facilitate technical discussions with the functional teams. Reviewing and approving technical designs. • Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents, functional and technical designs, and code. • Work with the team to apply advanced applications programming concepts in designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and evaluating highly complex programs • Be a knowledgeable resource to mentor others less experienced in application development. • Work with Information Technology Services (ITS) Partners to ensure that defined operational standards and policies are being met while developing designs and building customizations. Required Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training • Atleast 3 full implementation lifecycle experience as a PeopleSoft Application Development Manager with a thorough understanding of configuration and integration between major functional areas within PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 • At least 1 full lifecycle implementation of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 in a technical leadership role • 10+ years of PeopleSoft technical lead experience with advanced programming and with proven PeopleSoft project execution record. • Proficiency in all technical aspects of PeopleSoft technology, including mastery of PeopleCode, PeopleTools 8.5x, Application Engine, BI Publisher, Application Package, Component Interface & Integration Broker, XML/BI Publisher, Fluid, AWE, SQR, SQL, PS Query and the entire PS technical stack including Oracle Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). • Experience managing and running offshore development teams in a tight aggressive schedule. • Significant experience developing technical work plans and estimates for planned projects. • Strong knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM, specifically configuration table familiarity, including HR, Benefits and Payroll tables. • Working knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft technologies such as PeopleSoft Update Manager, Change Assistance, Integration Broker, and Secure Enterprise Search. • Experience with third-party migration tools of PeopleSoft objects between environments, specifically Dell STAT. • Experience working with Cloud Service Providers on a cloud based platform • Working knowledge of network and server infrastructure and architecture.
