Job Description The Senior Business Technology Analyst is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities for multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Applicants for this job posting will be considered for the Senior Business Technology position in Flight Operations & Crew Technologies. Depending on assignment, the successful candidate may be responsible for any or all of the following: · Coordinate with primary FOS support vendor Hewlett Packard for FOS Flight Planning changes. This includes gathering and reviewing requirements, analyzing HP estimates for approval, facilitating testing, and coordinating deployments with the business and HP · Planning, scheduling, and controlling of project activities to meet objectives · Communicate precisely and clearly, both orally and in writing · Track performance, cost, and time goals while maintaining project scope · Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources · Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks · Coordinate activities to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget · Track and resolve project issues · Responsible for creating project cost estimates to acquire funding · Serves as the finance point of contact for projects · Work under minimal supervision · Technical expertise necessary to provide on-call support of resulting products as needed · Use business analysis techniques for gathering and documenting requirements, scoping, interviewing, facilitation, system component design, spend tracking, testing, and implementation · Interact with leadership to help set project direction and determine project prioritization · Work collaboratively with customer and user groups, technical leads, development resources, engineers and architects, and external project teams · Provide project status reports according to the information needs of the stakeholders including, at times, executive level staff Qualifications · FOS Flight Planning experience and/or familiarity with FOS Flight Planning entries · 5 years of experience managing IT software development projects using structured PM and System Development methodologies/practices with project planning tools · Thorough knowledge of IT project life cycles, particularly SDLC · Experience using formal business analysis techniques · 3+ years of progressive broad-based information systems and business experience · Broad experience in a variety of computing platforms (mainframe, client/server, etc.) · Strong experience gathering and documenting complex system requirements, technical specifications, and developing detailed system diagrams · Experience and a full understanding of failover/failback, disaster recovery and mirroring concepts is preferred · Experience delivering mission-critical applications in a high-availability environment is preferred · Experience delivering in-house and commercial off-the-shelf applications is preferred · Broad understanding of flight operations processes is preferred · 24X7 on-call support may be required at various times · Some travel domestically and internationally is required · Planview experience · Proficiency in MS Suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Access) |
