Job Description:

 

Important Skills

                Tech – Nagios XI implementation experience

                Soft – ability to communicate across multiple teams, drive projects quickly, take direction well and work under pressure

 

Must Haves :

·         Nagios XI implementation across

o   Servers

o   Network (including Network Analyzer)

o   Storage

o   Database

·         Documentation – all implemented solutions and integration points will require documentation

 

Plus :

·         ServiceNow Event Management

·         REST API

·         vROps Integration (including Loginsight)

·         SolarWinds integration

 

Day to Day:

They are consolidating their infrastructure monitoring to a single view or "single pane of glass" across all infrastructure monitoring regardless of technology. That is, all monitoring elements (or software) will be required to forward events/exceptions/alerts to a single consolidation point for processing into a singular view. The ideal candidate would have the experience to build this singular view by working with various teams to define, implement, integrate and visually represent current state through NagiosXI.

They expect the ideal candidate would be the principle deliverer of the following (or a key contributor towards):

·         A fully implemented NagiosXI platform which monitors all infrastructure towers

·         NagiosXI integrated with other monitoring solutions such that it can and does receive forwarded events or alerts

·         A single pane view of all alerts/events/exception conditions

·         Selected alerts/events/exception conditions generate an incident ticket on UMass ServiceNow instance

 

 

 

 

Note: We are Working with tier-1 Vendor.
