Title: Project Manager
Location: Virginia Beach, VA
Duration: Long term (1 year)
Local candidates preferred.
Role/Responsibilities:
The client needs a Project Manager to perform a broad range of Project Management on 2 projects. The efforts are in support of the ERP modernization and the Treasurer's Check Processor Modernization.
• Develop and maintain project plans and project schedules.
• Establish good relationships with key stakeholders.
• Facilitate weekly project meetings with the project team.
• Ensure sponsor and key stakeholders are aligned with project goals.
• Negotiate for project resources.
• Facilitate resolution of interpersonal conflicts.
• Establish an environment that empowers the team.
• Collaborate (as needed) with vendor's project manager or designated contact(s) and the project team members to develop project schedule and project management plans.
• Facilitate decision making.
• Track and communicate tasks and progress, including maintenance of formal status reports.
• Track and facilitate resolution of issues.
• Identify and manage risks.
Required Skills:
• 5+ Years of Project Management experience.
• PMP certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the English language.
• Recent experience (within past three years) managing information technology projects.
• Experience with formal project management methodologies.
• Experience with business process development; functional and technical requirements for large enterprise applications; current software development technologies and methodologies; and formal testing methodologies.
