A Business Analyst position just came out this morning for the State of MI. It's a 10 month assignment working in Lansing and there are no restrictions on Citizenship.
Job Description:
This Business Analyst position focuses on activities on supporting contracts; serves as the subject matter expert and point of contact for information technology contracts and purchasing activities for division projects and operational services.
Job Responsibilities:
· Serves as the division subject matter expert and point of contact for contracts, purchase orders and invoices; Serve as the contracts point of contact to the Business & IT Support Services area.
· Provide guidance to team members on the purchasing, contract management processes and request for proposal (RFP) and statement of work (SOW) preparation.
· Assist team members with RFP and SOW creation; Work with Financial Specialist and other leaders to secure funding; Ensure contract and purchase order (PO) spend within budget and contract value.
· Analyze contracts and provide recommendations to Leadership to resolve contract issues.
· Monitor future contract change needs.
· Prepare invoices for approval.
· Ensure deliverables are met in accordance with contract terms; reports to the division director or designee.
Skills/Experience Required:
· 8-11 Years of experience as a Business Analyst.
· 8 Years of experience reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business systems and user needs and requirements.
· 8 Years of experience leading and providing direction to teams.
· 3 Years of experience developing statements of work or requests for proposals (RFP).
· 8 Years of experience with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective.
· 8 Years of experience analyzing, evaluating and preparing solution options, risk identification and financial analyses such as total cost of ownership.
· 8 Years of experience with knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within Information Technology, specifically, SDLC.
· 8 Years of experience with the ability to analyze business needs and solutions to determine deliverables to be included in SOWs and RFPs (for example, Disaster Recovery).
· 8 Years of experience negotiating along with conflict analysis and resolution.
· 8 Years of experience with time management, tracking and monitoring tasks.

Hiring manager is requiring In-Person interviews only for this position. No exceptions will be made.
