BackEnd QA Tester required@Glen Allen, VA(Locals Only)

Candidate Must be local

Make sure candidates have recent SoapUI and Unix scripting/command experience.

 

They use JIRA for their defect tracking. It would be a preference to hire someone who already knows JIRA vs. training someone who has only worked with Quality Center.

 

Candidates need to also be able to describe previous work with Agile/Scrum sprints (AAP typically runs on 2-3 week sprints).

 

Let's really try to find people with a base knowledge of UNIX command line scripts. The expectation is for them to lock onto a server (not front end testing), look at log file using UNIX commands to search for exception messages.

 

- SOAP UI experience.

 

candidates with eCommerce (online POS experience) highly preferred. But they will also talk to previous cap one testers because of the transactional testing exp some of them have from the credit card business.

Apex Systems is currently hiring QA Testers to support our customer in Richmond, VA.

Requirements:

- top notch back-end testing skills and must be able to write/run queries,

-  experience using tools such as SOAP/REST on a regular basis with their testing,

- knowledge of how to automate tests within SOAP (this is not a requirement, but is nice to have),

- ability to work under constant pressure,

- 2-3 yrs of (recent) UNIX experience,

- working knowledge of db tools for querying (client uses DBVisualizer, but knowledge of tools of that type is sufficient).
