Sr. Web Developer

Jersey City, NJ

6+ Months

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field or corresponding experience equaling 4 year degree

· 5+ years' experience in at least one of the following modern programming languages: Java, C++, C#, Python or Ruby

· A minimum of 4 years of experience;

· with JavaScript, AJAX, the DOM traversal/manipulation and event capturing

· working with CSS Preprocessors such as SASS or LESS

· A minimum of 2 years of experience;

· with responsive design (media-queries) and cross-platform compatible coding techniques

· using a MV* framework (such as AngularJS, ReactJS, Backbone.js, etc.)

· working with a variety of API's and designing and/or consuming RESTful web services

· working with a version control system, preferably Git

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Real-world experience building best-in-class user experiences

· Knowledge of the fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms and problem solving.

· Experience using RequireJS, WebPack or Browserify modular script loader

· Experience working in an Agile development environment

· Familiar with principles of Content Management Systems

· Familiarity with Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

· Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems

· Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines, and ability to make trade-offs when needed to optimize outcome when conditions change
