Job Description:

• Gather data w.r.t storage design, implementation migration, activities and dependencies.
• Design and Installation of Hitachi Storages ( VSP, HUS VM, G1000, HUS 150 and Midrange Storages).
• Design and Installation of HUR, True Copy and Shadow Image.
• Prepare test cases for migration of storage and links. Storage Migration.
• Re-configure replication using new links/media to new DC storage ( Hitachi Storages)
• SAN Switch Design and implementation. Brocade (Enterprise Switch and DCX) and Cisco SAN switch.
• Execute test cases and report test results
• Fix the defects
• S/He will involve in designing the Storage and SAN solutions for the customer with Hitachi storage product with all required latest technology features.
• S/He should review all the Storage recommendation and design documents.
• S/He should be able to take up storage assessment engagement which involves detailed study to recommend the tactical and strategical solution to customer.
• S/He is responsible for solution presentations to customer
• Primarily Hitachi Storage. VSP, G1000, HUS series, HUR replication, True Copy and Shadow Image (SI)

Profile:

• He should be able to design Hitachi Storage, SAN, and solutions for small to enterprise customer environments.
• Should be well versed with SAN and NAS technologies
• Sound knowledge on trouble shooting Storage issues
• Must have had hand-on experience on at least two vendor products on Storage , backup and archival
• Should  know backup technologies and vendors
• Should have HItachi storage migration experience and Hitachi storage replication
• Should have in-depth knowledge and experience in BCV, Remote copy, Synchronous and asynchronous, data center ,fibre cables
• SAN Switch technologies.

Skills:

• Extensive experience in installing, upgrading, and maintaining storage environment
• Good understanding of Hitachi Storage and replication technologies
• Working experience installing, configuring, and using Hitachi Storage box enterprise and Modulator. Replication software.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
• Good customer service and communication (oral and written) skills.  Ability to deliver professional engagement documentation.

Certifications:

• Certifications of Hitachi storage.
