JOB DESCRIPTION:

The position requires experience in Linux System Administration & C programming. The Linux Administration is the primary skill set, with C programming as a secondary requirement.  The main task is to move current codebase of a product from 32-bit Linux to 64-bit version. Although the task would not involve writing a lot of C code, but it still requires ability to understand and improve the codebase for 32-bit to 64-bit migration.

Linux System Administration

                - Networking:

                                - Network configuration: DCHP, Dynamic DNS

                                - Troubleshooting & fixing problems

                - Custom Linux system building:

                                - Creating a distribution from scratch

                                - Disk partitioning, disk and filesystem management

                                - Kernel modules

                - x86 boot process: BIOS, EFI, boot loader to Linux kernel

                - Maintenance and updates: managing package updates

                - Shell programming, UNIX tools: bash, sed, awk

 UNIX C Programming

                - Networking, IPC, messaging systems

                - C programming
