Job Description

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core SQL Server Database Administration for the Managed Hosting (MH) Application Server Data and the MH Analytics Hosting Data

Maintaining SQL Server Service Level Agreements and reporting on same

Working with external and internal customers and managing the relationships as related to SQL Server

Sharing 24/7 on-call DBA rotation duties

REQUIRED SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in software engineering, MIS or computer science

Experienced running production SQL Server Database Clustered environment including:  maintenance, tuning, backup/restore, analysis and troubleshooting

Good knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture, TCP/IP, Firewall/VLAN configuration, Hardware-Based load balancing, encryption and network security best practices

Experience with SQL Server in a VM and NetApp environment a plus

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Administration / Active Directory

Knowledge of IIS server best practices

Experience with backup technologies and strategies oriented around the backup and restoration of large datasets.
