We have an urgent requirement for our direct client

 

Role : Oracle RMS DBA ( Retail Merchandising System)

Location : Columbus, OH

Duration : 6-12 Months

Rate : As per market

Experience : 10+ yrs

 

Required Skills :

·         Minimum experience of 3 - 5 years experience as Oracle Retail DBA

·         Install, patch, configure, and administration.

·         Experience in integrating modules

·         Experience in RMS, RPM and few other modules

·         Setup, configuration and troubleshooting

·         At least 8+ years of Oracle DBA experience - 11g and above (Experience with DB2 highly desired)

·         Experience of Installing, configuring and trouble shooting of Real Application Cluster (RAC)

·         Fusion Middleware - installation, configuration and troubleshooting

·         Experience working with Oracle 11gR2 and RAC in a virtualized Linux environment required

·         Experience in PL/SQL and UNIX Shell Scripting and/or Perl (preferably) required

·         Experience using AWR, ADDR, SQL and segment advisors, Explain Plan, OEM for db and SQL tuning

Roles and Responsibilities

 

·          Responsible for DB admin of Oracle Retail MOM Suite of apps

·         Responsible for SOA FMW suite installation and configuration

·         Responsible for providing day-to-day support and maintenance for key Oracle databases and services of our enterprise application platform

·         Responsible for investigating potential problems and issues raised by business users; this includes being on a on-call rotation

·         Monitor database events and proactively optimize system performance

·         Work with the team to automate reactive procedures where possible, and to promote rapid response to known issues

·         Work in conjunction with other IT, application development, and business groups to understand functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective

·         Develop and maintain an in depth understanding of the database architecture and the general application functionality used to maintain data integrity

·         Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through the effective delivery of technical support and service
