Position Title: Senior Technical Consultant (7540093)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Duration: Six Months
Describe the primary purpose of this job:
The ideal candidate for this position will enjoy coding and programming new functions and procedures within the database. Have an aptitude and ability to fix software bugs. Have a personality that is great with customers. Have the ability to interpret what a customer wants and relate it to the products offered. Have the ability to quickly understand a variety of database schemas and use them with our products. Work under general supervision with latitude for independent judgment. May consult with senior peers on certain projects. Typically requires three to five years of experience with oracle and PL/SQL. Performance tuning experience and DBA experience is a plus.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Computer, software proficiency, level of analytical complexity, problem solving scope 33%
Code and program new functions and enhancements within a database 33%
Analyze software requirements to determine technical implementation 34%
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's Degree from a four year college or university
3 -5 years of related experience and/or training
Analytical Ability/Problem Solving/Technical Skills:
Computer, software proficiency, level of analytical complexity, problem solving scope.
Proficient in: Database - Oracle DB 10 and 11, PL/SQL, TOAD
Exposure to c#, JavaScript and programming web pages
Able to analyze reported issues and recommend solutions
Able to work through a decided-on solution with minimal intervention
Through testing skills - able to ad-hoc solution and regression test prior to turnover to QA to minimize chance of rework.
