Role: site engineer
Technician is an integral part of SIS (Support Integration Service) team for Serialization Execution System (SES) Support who will leverage the implementation opportunities at the site to enhance knowledge of the hardware, like vision equipment's, bar code scanners, etc. and later provide enhanced on-site maintenance and support for SES hardware related issues as well as maintain Hardware Spare Parts inventory. This includes communication with hardware OEM vendors to seamlessly manage the escalation of support issues as they arise.
Responsibilities include:
· Develop a global, repeatable, and logical process to effectively resolve any issues arising from the installation and subsequent operation of Serialization hardware components in packaging operations. Maintain and update procedures as required.
· Maintain Spare Parts inventory and communicate effectively on time for any new spare parts requirements.
· Own the lifecycle of a break/fix issue (related to hardware) according to established service level agreements, including initial acceptance, diagnosis of the issue, triage to the appropriate sub-teams including OEMs where appropriate, formal deviation investigation where appropriate, communication to impacted stakeholders, resolution/closure of the issue, and updating appropriate knowledge management records.
· Coordinate system downtime with user base and external vendors for hardware maintenance.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS / Experience / Knowledge
- Experience in providing engineering support in 24/7 pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging operations
- Experience in troubleshooting issues using Allen Bradley/ Siemens/ Honeywell PLC and HMIs.
- Knowledge of vision inspection systems, checkweighers.
- Worked in direct support of and along with the maintenance staff to maintain both complex and simple systems used in packaging operations
- Experience with Systems Management (disaster recovery, problem management, incident management, etc).
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills are essential. Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide timely resolution.
