Job Description:
.The programmer will review, analyze, and modify the *programming systems including encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support programs for Fish and Wildlife Agency applications currently being re-written in ASP* .Net, MVC 3.0.
.Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.
.Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
.Prepares, or receives from systems analyst detailed workflow documents to illustrate sequence of steps that program must follow and to describe input, output, and logical operations involved.
.Confers with supervisor and representatives of departments concerned with program to resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
.Converts detailed logical flow chart to C#, MVC 3.0 and ASP .Net language.
.Candidate uses Microsoft Team Foundation Server to manage user requirements, project time estimates and communication with the application development team.
.May correct program errors using methods such as modifying program or altering sequence of program steps.
.Will write instructions to guide operating personnel during production runs. Compiles and writes documentation of program development and subsequent revisions.
.May assist computer operator to resolve problems in running computer programs.
