Title: QA Lead
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 6+months Contract
Required Skills
Coordinate testing of new features & bugs across 10+ different brand sites, on PC, tablet, and/or mobile. Work with on-site and off-site testers to make sure that new features & bugs are tested across multiple environments.
Experience with DevOps Release Processes & QA automation (Gherkin / Behat preferred).
Adaptability to constantly identify & implement improvements in QA process.
Ability to lead the team's transformation from mostly manual to mostly automated testing.
Lead daily meetings with testers. Facilitate resolutions when they are blocked to ensure work moves forward on time.
Ability to teach & delegate to the offshore QA team.
Escalate when engineers are blocked in order to keep work moving.
Requires experience working with a CMS.
Candidate has to be able to understand the complexities of the functionality, and how features & bugs fit into the overall platform in order to:
Help QA team clarify questions.
Flag additional scenarios to test.
Suggest additional features/enhancements that may be beneficial.
Test emergency bug fixes immediately.
Sense of urgency to work on many tasks quickly & meet urgent deadlines, while also ensuring high quality.
Needs to be self-motivated & able to drive projects forward without a lot of hand holding.
Provide detailed QA feedback with exact steps to reproduce, URLs, current result, & expected result.
Requires excellent English communication skills (verbal in speaking/listening & written/visual in providing QA feedback) & ability to collaborate & communicate clearly with producers, engineers, & QA team.
