Skills Required and Job Description:

MOI:- Phone + Skype QA Analyst with Automotive and/or Homeowner Insurance domain knowledge and at least 2-4 years recent working experience with xml/SoapUI and extensive web app testing experience required.  VB scripting experience is desirable.   Project is fast-paced with tight deliverable schedule requiring candidate to be able to ramp-up quickly, self-monitor, report individual progress and impediments accordingly.   Excellent time management and communication skills required.  A detailed task description is attached. QA CONTRACT POSITION SUMMARY:   Under general direction, evaluates and tests new or modified internally developed and commercial off the Shelf (COTS) software programs, including documentation, diagram, and data flow charts, to ensure freedom from defects and to verify that programs function according to end-user requirements and conform to organizational standards.  Writes, revises, and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently.  Documents and works to resolve all complex problems. Reports progress on problem resolution to management. Active participant in requirements and design review meetings.  Develop comprehensive test plans from functional requirements and design specifications for medium to large scale projects. Develop manual and/or SOA test cases in black/grey box environments that can be transitioned to automated scripts.  Execute both manual and automated functional/regression and system test cases.  Create test data for applications as needed.    Duties and Responsibilities: Design, develop, modify, and execute manual test cases that can be automated with SoapUI, Selenium or QTP Develop or update web service test scripts using soapUI Document, troubleshoot and isolate problems encountered during testing Prepare management reports documenting test execution results In conjunction with Quality Engineers and Business Analysts, responsible for analyzing use cases and test scenarios in order to make the appropriate determination whether the functionality is an ideal candidate for automation Track defects / issues and enhancements Assume other responsibilities as directed     Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Hands on experience testing Insurance Automotive, Property &Casualty applications. Claims testing experience a plus Extensive background in QA methodologies and experience developing and executing comprehensive test suites Experience in developing soapUI scripts a plus Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills  Handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while effectively managing priorities and communicating progress Strong working knowledge of MS applications (Excel, Word, Access) Strong knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle Experience using defect tracking tools.  Prefer HP Quality Center/ALM. BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience A minimum of 5 years cumulative experience in software development and/or testing Able to work independently, be a team player and leader
