Position: Data Architect

Location: Jersey city, NJ

Duration : 6-12 Months

 

Required:

·         At least 10 years experience in Data modeling, architecture and very large data handling and migrations.

·         3 to 5 years experience in ETL with Informatica, PL-SQL, Data migration and Replication strategies.

·         2 to 3 years experience in SQL, PL-SQL (preferably) and shell scripting

Technologies:

Required

·         Open source RDBMS: MySQL is preferable and MariaDB/PostgreSQL would be nice to have.

·         Commercial RDBMS: DB2 is preferable and Oracle/SQL Server would be nice to have.

·         data modeling tools like Erwin

Nice to have:

·         Shell scripting and Informatica ETL tool.

·         Any experience or knowledge of NoSQL, MongoDB, Cassandra and/or Hadoop is nice to have but not required.

 Responsibilities:

·         Design and implement Data Architecture and data integration Solutions.

·         Use Data Modeling techniques to define and expand global Data Architecture.

·         Develop logical and physical design for variety of data formats to process very large amounts of data (structured and unstructured), including batch and real-time data using RTL.

·         Must be able to drive discussions and design for building data models for new databases based on current structure of existing databases.

·         Work closely with DBAs, development teams, ETL teams, infrastructure and project managers in agile environment to produce deliverables.

·         Ability to recognize and implement common data patterns and best practices.

·         Ability to produce technical artifacts including Data Flows, ER diagrams, Data Interaction Diagrams, Analytic Use Cases etc.

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks in different streams.
