Requirements Details:
A new role with an exclusive client in Wilmington, DE for a 12 month plus contract. We need local candidates, the interview process is phone first round then face to face. Please send me resumes with the rate, location, and contact information together.
This candidate should be willing to have responsibility for designing and working on a team implementing multiple ETL mechanisms. The candidate must have a B.S. in Computer Science or related field with 5 to 10years in experience. A minimum of 5 years related experience in designing and building ETL processes using a variety of tools (specifically custom software applications using C# preferable). The primary engagement is to analyze to systems, data map between them, design the ETL mechanisms, and work with .Net developers in building ETL processes to move data between two large, yet different, financial payment systems (Oracle to SQL). We are migrating between two different systems, each with its own suite of products and modules. The migration process will be built using C# and will have some limited user interface. The system may be designed to interface with web services to move data. Tools such as Informatica or Ab Initio will not be used, however, experience using such tools is a plus.

7. Demonstrated competency for adapting to new environments, quickly grasping overall architecture and key components
8. Experience and ability to reverse engineer complex databases, understand complex data structures and data, and ability to data map between different relational databases.
9. Ability to quickly assess existing design strengths and weaknesses and effectively communicate perspective
10. Provide guidance and insight into developing quality assurance test cases to validate data migration processes. Experience with creating automated data comparison routines for automated testing is a plus.
11. Must possess a meticulous eye for detail
12. Experience working in a tightly version-controlled and process oriented financial corporate environment
13. Required Technical Skills
a. Extensive database experience in the following area of expertise:
§ proven experience handling complex data migrations
§ reverse engineering data models and relational databases
§ extensive data mapping and transformation logic experience
§ extensive ETL process creation experience
§ data modeling and architecting
b. Oracle 10g, 11g
c. MS SQL 2008+
14. Additional Skills
a. Visual Studio 2008/2010
b. C# and Object Oriented Design and Development experience
c. Understanding of web services and WCF
Job Responsibilities
1. Work with a team of talented senior level developers and architects to design, build, and guide testing of complex data migration and ETL processes
a. Participate in all stages of the project and development life-cycle – including, but not limited to, requirements gathering and development, system functional specifications and design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation support.
b. Reverse engineer databases and data from two different products. Perform all data mapping, data definitions, and design all transformation logic needed.
