.Net Developer

Contract to hire (12 months)

Client a financial services firm located in Austin TX is looking for a .Net developer.
The .Net Developer designs, modifies, develops writes and implements applications and components; works from written and collaborative specifications using pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job and maintains documentation of written components.
- Utilize established development tools, guidelines and conventions including but not limited to C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular HTML, SqlServer.
- Maintain existing systems by identifying and correcting software defects
- Develop enhancements to existing systems and develop new systems
- Contribute to the overall code quality by writing unit tests and participating in code reviews.
- Provide operational support for the Production and 2 QA environments
- Contribute to innovation by investigating and developing skills in new technologies Anticipate and address browser compatibility issues for application websites
- Implement Windows services to perform background tasks
Skills & Requirements
- C#, ASP.Net 4.5+
- MVC 5.0
- Development experience using object oriented techniques
- Strong experience developing web based applications using C#, Angular, JavaScript, XML, ASP.NET MVC, JSON, HTML, CSS, XSLT, AJAX, jQuery, SQL, Raven DB and MS Visual Studio IDE
- Strong analytical abilities and problem solving with a strong bias for quality and engineering
- Demonstrated experience in financial and/or benefit accounting products
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience with cross-browser and cross¬-platform issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, Chrome)
- SQL and relational databases expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Experience in writing secure code
- SQL Reporting Services expertise a definite plus
