Position Overview (Job Summary)

The Infrastructure team designs, builds, and maintains the software, hardware, network, and computing technologies that power all of the client's services. We are the foundation upon which the Client's innovations are built, from high octane data analytics horsepower to insightful healthcare data solutions that will change the future.  

 

Job Requirements

·       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, technical field, or equivalent experience.

·       At least one of the following certifications is required:  MCSA, MCP, or MCSE.

·       Beneficial Certifications: VMware VCP, CSM and ITIL  

·       12+ years of experience designing, installing, supporting and troubleshooting Windows Server and related computing platforms.

·       Demonstrated experience as technical lead.

·       Strong experience with Active Directory administration, structure, permissions, and best practices

·       Experience with VMware (ESX/ESXi, vSphere, and vCenter Server).

·       Experience patching, image deployment and updates of windows servers/clients using system center configuration Manager (SCCM).

·       Knowledge of existing industry standards, technologies, and operational norms;

·       Scripting experience is a plus; willing to learn Powershell.

·       Good troubleshooter – you know every problem has a solution; you are unrelenting, persistent, and confident that you will find that solution;

·       Experience with patch management using tools like WSUS, Systems Center, and/or NetProtect

 

Responsibilities:

·       Find, correlate, prevent, and own complex problems from incident to resolution, implementing emergency fixes to keep the business moving while driving root cause analysis to ensure problems do not resurface;

·       Develop and execute solutions to problems backed by thorough testing and engineering analysis;

·       Develop, gather, and leverage metrics to prevent and uncover problems in the server fleet before they emerge;

·       Leverage tools and technologies to optimize systems by squeezing out every clock cycle, IOP, and bit.

·       Manage situations with calm, courtesy, and confidence

·       Investigate, design, and implement best-in-industry, innovative technologies that will expand the Client's infrastructure through robust, scalable solutions

·       Must be willing to work off hours for upgrades, migrations, etc as needed by the business.

·       Act as Technical Lead for Windows and VMware technical team.
