Job Title: JAVA/AWS Engineer

Location: Ashburn, VA

Duration  - 6 Months+

Duration: 12 months Job Description: Seeking a Senior Software Engineer with previous experience working with Java in an Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment. The engineer will serve as a JAVA coding expert working within the Agile software development process to develop and release code in an AWS environment. Job Responsibilities Full life cycle product support of software including design, implementation, testing and documentation for new Spectrum Access System products and features within an Agile-Scrum development team. Serve as a Java coding expert within a team environment Required Skills 5+ years of work experience in an engineering design environment 4+ years of direct programming experience with Java/Spring on Linux platforms 2+ years of experience developing and operating on Amazon Web Services (AWS) is must 2+ years of experience working in an agile software development process Direct experience building and deploying code using Gradle and Docker is must. Direct experience in Python or shell scripting Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Skills Expertise in Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Mesos, Netflix OSS, PostgreSQL, or Couchbase Experience with source code control and CI using Perforce and Jenkins Previous experience in a telecom environment a real plus Education: BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering or equivalent required.
