Job Description: Looking for a Device Integration Engineer to lead OEM vendor integration of proprietary device-resident software. The ideal candidate will enjoy solving challenging problems with creative solutions, lead troubleshooting of difficult and critical integration issues and validate/certify accurate functionality of code that will be used by tens of millions of handsets worldwide.
Approximately 20% of the position is writing new code and the remainder is fixing bugs in current code.
Client will be checking their Android development skills in detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on iQ Insights software development, integration and certification improvement
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies iQ Insights software used in large scale analytics and visualization solution
- Uses advanced programming languages and technology, writes code, completes programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of iQ Insights software.
- Debug and validate iQ insight agent inter-processor communication channel and porting layer
- Providing device integration and certification support to handset OEM vendors including training and consultancy
- Manage overall integration activities, work closely with and coordinating engineering support, validation and certification of iQ insight technology integrated on the device, QA support, and communications with stakeholders on status and schedule
- Interacts with cross functional team including Embedded Software Developers, Applications Developers, Project Managers, QA Engineer and Subject Matter Experts about how the iQ Insights software needs to be integrated, certified, developed, debugged and modified.
- Work closely with OEM engagement team, assisting in requirements analysis, project scope, and effort estimates for new opportunities
Required Qualifications -
- 5 + years of experience with C & C++, Java, Python with strong code debugging skills
- 3 + years of experience with embedded mobile devices
- 3 + years of experience with Android OS, Qualcomm REX, Linux
- 3 + experience on wireless technology (WCDMA/LTE/VoLTE/IMS/Wi-Fi)
- 2 + years working in an Agile environment
- Experience with Android development and debug tools such as the Android SDK, NDK, Android Studio, DDMS, GDB/LLDB, etc is must.
- Demonstrated working experience with embedded debugging environments and tools
- Previous experience with Carrier or OEM interaction and support
- Strong communication and technical writing skills
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field required, Master's degree preferred
