Role: Oracle DBA
Location: Seattle, WA
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Job Description
1. At least 5 years of experience in Oracle 11g, 10g enterprise database system DBA activities. Experience in Oracle RAC cluster database environment.
2. Clear understanding of DB configuration parameters, all levels of Parallelism, compression methods, DB Space management, Advanced security and user access management, roles and privileges.
3. Experience with installing and upgrading Oracle enterprise databases in production and non-production environments. Setting up backup policies using Data Pump, RMAN etc.
4. Monitoring critical parameters and performance tuning of databases and queries for efficiency and help drive improvements. Collecting statistics and analyzers, running Diagnostic tools.
5. Understanding and experience with managing different types of tables, indexes, constraints, partitioning etc.
5. Strong skill and experience in Unix shell scripting and Oracle PL/SQL and SQL coding languages to develop monitoring and automation for DBA tasks and also help development team to tune application codes for efficiency.
6. Production support: troubleshoot, report, and prioritize bugs on operational issues
7. Coordinating with IT and developers on new product releases
