JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position exists within our Global IT Shared Services Organization focuses primarily on the delivery of high-quality database solution design and deployments to support complex and high visible database systems for our enterprise business applications. This candidate will provide the enterprise grade database solutions in his/her subject matter expert role and will contribute to multiple project executions in parallel. Continuous improvements of our mission critical enterprise database technologies, standardized database platforms and processes adoption for our technical deployments will be important support activities alongside with project implementation work.

MUST:

• Possess 10+ years of experience in deploying and managing Oracle database installations and configurations
• Demonstrate sound technical knowledge and professional experience in leveraging ORACLE RDBMS, ORACLE REAL APPLICATION CLUSTER TECHNOLOGY PLATFORM running Oracle databases for implementing enterprise grade high performance and highly secured and encrypted database systems leveraging ORACLE ADVANCED SECURITY OPTION
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to and use of Oracle 12c / 11g RAC database technology deployments
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to and use of Oracle 12c / 11g Automatic Storage Management (ASM) storage option deployed to support Oracle RAC and standalone databases
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to and use of Oracle 12c / 11g RMAN backup/recovery integrated to centralized backup solutions such as Veritas Netbackup, IBM Tivoli, ZFS storage appliance for Oracle standalone and RAC databases
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to and use of enterprise level database disaster recovery solution using Oracle Dataguard 12c / 11g for Oracle RAC databases
• Demonstrate recent, professional experience to and use of Oracle 12c / 11g ADVANCED SECURITY OPTION for encrypting databases
• Demonstrate recent, professional experience with OS/DB platform migrations of legacy Oracle database releases involving multi –terabyte databases between UNIX and LINUX platforms
• Demonstrate recent, professional experience to Oracle enterprise monitoring technologies leveraging Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM), TOAD
• Demonstrate a technical understanding of enterprise level database system requirement gathering process for successful project implementation
• Demonstrate the ability to think beyond tactical/immediate project deliverables to assess impacts and mitigate or eliminate technical deployment risks
• Demonstrate the ability to develop system design and deployment solutions in the database function to support project executions
• Demonstrate the ability to enforce database standards for project executions and consecutively achieve on-time deployment success
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate clearly and respond quickly to all IT stakeholders on database system deployments.
• Demonstrate recent, professional experience in conforming and adapting to standard documentation methods for database solutions
• Demonstrate an understanding of some standardized Process methodology (ITIL [Preferred], Six Sigma, etc.)

• Demonstrate recent, professional experience to and use of database replications leveraging Oracle GOLDEN GATE
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure in implementing Oracle databases on Oracle EXADATA STORAGE and SUPERCLUSTERS compute platform
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to Oracle application suites such as JDE, Hyperion and Cognos BI from a database installation/support perspective
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to Oracle Fusion Middleware stack from a database installation/support perspective
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to IBM Data staging, INFORMATICA (ETL) from a database installation/support perspective
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure with Oracle Multi-tenant, Database in-memory, Advanced compression options
• Demonstrate recent, professional experience with automated provisioning, patching, and compliance-checking/enforcement tools (Oracle EM Grid control packs - Preferred)
• Demonstrate recent, professional experience with Microsoft Office suite products required for the job as support tools
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to support database deployments for centralized scheduling tools like Automic, Control+M,
• Demonstrate recent, professional exposure to support alternate RDBMS database flavors like MS SQLSERVER, MYSQL
