Job Description: The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is looking for two senior COBOL programmer analysts to fill Developer Analyst 3 contract positions to work on our Unemployment Insurance Tax Unit VSAM Limitations project. This project is needed to conduct research, create a plan, and update/change programs and VSAM files to address issues being experienced as a result of VSAM limitations. This project allows TWC to eliminate these issues.
Experience in COBOL, Job Control Language (JCL), DB2, Structured Query Language (SQL), Virtual Storage Access Method (VSAM), Customer Information Control System (CICS), TSO, in an IBM Mainframe environment is required. Candidates must be detail-oriented, have strong analytic skills, and the ability to solve complex to advanced technical problems. Experience with database conversion from VSAM to DB2 is highly preferred.
Selected candidates will participate in research, analysis, and development of solutions needed to complete this project. Selected candidates will also participate in detail design, create plans, update and test objects to implement the solution.
An exercise may be conducted at the time of interview.
