Job Title:                      Cassandra consultant (Locals to CA only)

Location:                      Sunnyvale, CA

Duration:                      12+ Months

Interview Type:          Phone+ Skype

 

Primary Skills:           Cassandra, AWS Cloud, Java coding

 

Job Description:

 

v  Min 10+ years experience in designing, developing, deploying software application

v  9 + years of experience in large scale system development, deployment, and management

v  B.S. or higher in Computer Science or equivalent knowledge and experience

v  Good communication skills (verbal and written)

v  2+ years of AWS Cloud Experience including deployment, cloud formation, cloud watch, and auto scaling

v  5+ years of experience in Java coding and Rest application development

v  Experience in support/troubleshooting/operations of Cassandra and other NoSQL database. Setting, Modeling and optimization of Cassandra clusters is a must.

v  Experience in Data Migration of multiple terabytes from one Cassandra DC to another

v  Must possess advanced SQL skills and in depth knowledge of analytical functions

v  Strong Linux/Unix background and Advanced scripting knowledge eg: python, ruby etc

v  Experience with metrics, monitoring and alerting tools such as Graphite, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Splunk

v  Experience with CI/CD process and technologies (e.g. Jenkins, Travis CI, or equivalent)

v  Familiarity with OSGi containers is nice to have

v  Must be familiar with Java 8

v  Familiarity with tools like Git, Maven, JUnit, Mockito, 

v  Must have Experience installing and managing Kafka
