Role: Cognos Administrator
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 3-6 Months
Interview: Phone+ Skype (. Onsite interviews are highly preferred)
The Cognos Administrator will be doing the following work from Day 1:
1. Support our current Cognos environments (resolve issues, improve performance, stabilize)
2. Upgrade our SACWIS Cognos environment from 10.1 to 11. (out of support now and having issues)
3. Upgrade our BIC Cognos environment from 10.2 to 11 (out of support in a year)
4. Upgrade both Cognos environments to use Oracle 12C and the new version of DB2
5. Train and mentor our State staff to be Cognos Administrators (No Cognos admins on staff now)
Requirements:
A master Cognos administrator
1. 10+ years or more experience as a Cognos administrator (Dev Cognos work does not count)
2. At least 3 years of experience working on large Cognos installations (20+ servers-10,000+ users)
3. Experience leading several recent Cognos upgrades - 10.1, 10.2 or 11
4. Experience installing Cognos Metric Studio
5. Experience working with Cognos 10.1 or 10.2 with Oracle 12C and resolving issues
6. Experience working with Informatica and Cognos
7. Experience working on load balancing setup/issues in a Cognos environment
8. Experience training staff in Cognos administration
9. Able to work under pressure with tight deadlines
