Position: Charles River SQM Test Manager

Description:
Hiring an experienced onsite test manager, with Charles River asset management experience. This resource will be managing a complex Charles River upgrade project (version 9.1 to 9.8). The project will involve many application teams and applications. It is expected that this resource will have extensive test management experience as well as banking and asset management experience. Resource must be detail oriented, task oriented and be a pro-active leader for the team. This is a complex project with significant implications to the bank and project requires a go-getter to accomplish the project and testing goals, and schedule.
• Trading Life Cycle and/or financial domain experience required.
• 3+ years Charles River experience
• 5+ yrs or equivalent experience managing complex upgrade testing efforts.
• 5+ years Asset Management experience
• 10+ years Banking experience
• Knowledge of Test Management with ALM is required.
• Experienced test manager that can coordinate with numerous application teams
o Experience writing test strategy
o Experience writing test plan
o Experience documenting detailed status
o Experience managing resources and schedules in an onsite/nearshore/offshore team environment
• Great Presentation/Communication skills - ability to communicate with all levels of management and tailoring communication to the audience
• Experience creating estimates for testing across SIT, UAT, Automation and Performance test phases.
• Some experience with Automation concepts, enabling applicable benefit recognition and promotion of opportunities for such.

Technology is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the Enterprise Monitoring Team as a contractor with a primary focus as a CA Application Performance Management (APM) administrator and a secondary focus on our other monitoring solutions. The team is responsible for providing administration, technical solutions, critical incident management and daily operational support to global application and infrastructure groups. This individual will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining various monitoring systems to enable proactive management for internal and external applications. We are seeking a candidate who is passionate about their job and has the technical expertise to succeed.
TECHINICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong CA APM Introscope v10+ administration and user experience
- Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools with CA APM, Artica Pandora FMS, Microsoft SCOM, EMS InCharge and HP SiteScope or equivalent experience is a plus
- Experience in the design and implementation of infrastructure and application availability, performance, and capacity monitoring solutions
- Knowledge (monitoring and/or development experience is a plus) of the middleware and platform technologies including Java, .NET, WebLogic, Tomcat, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Docker, WebSphere MQ, Solace, and Hadoop
- Experience with multiple hardware and operating systems including Unix, Linux, Windows, VMWare ESX, vBlock
- Strong scripting experience using shell scripts; Ansible experience is a plus
- Creativity and thinking outside the box

MAJOR DUTIES
- The ideal candidate would have experience with enterprise monitoring for applications and infrastructure.
- The support engineer will be required to administer and support monitoring tools such as CA APM (Introscope, EEM, CEM), HP SiteScope, Microsoft SCOM, and Artica Pandora FMS. In addition, this role will collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to design and deploy best in class monitoring practices including new system build outs as well as new applications.
- This position is also responsible for 3rd level troubleshooting of monitoring tools and provides 24x7 support. This is a fast-paced team and the successful candidate must be able to act with a sense of urgency and able to adapt to changing priorities.
- Qualified candidates must possess a strong sense of leadership; strong analytical skills, excellent communication skills, good technical abilities, and a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will have expertise in the design and implementation of monitoring solutions for applications and infrastructures involving a wide range of application and infrastructure technologies.
- The engineer will be engaged in multiple application and infrastructure projects to help identify monitoring requirements, monitoring opportunities, and then design and implement a best in class monitoring solution using our existing tools.
- This individual will also participate in identifying and engineering enhanced or new monitoring capabilities to meet our evolving technology and application needs. This is a fast-paced team and the successful candidate must be able to act with a sense of urgency and can adapt to changing priorities.

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or at least four or more years of technical experience with multiple platforms, operating systems, software, communications and network protocols or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Creating, modifying, and testing applications in embedded industrial control systems environments, specifically material handling systems. Needs to be an expert with the C language in particular, and familiar with as many other languages noted below as possible.
