Role : Business & Data Analyst with Healthcare domain.
Rate : $40/hr (Non-negotiable)
Location : Washington DC
Duration : 10 months with the possibility of extension
No OPT/CPT candidates please.
Description:
This role will utilize Business Analysis and Data Analysis skills. The individual filling this role will have to be very comfortable interacting with business users and sponsors, as well as developers, application and data architects/DBAs, and test analysts/QA. The individual filling this role may also be asked to assist with testing/QA, and so should be comfortable in that arena as well.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Consults with Information Technology and business leaders on the development and implementation of strategic business solutions through research, audit, and analysis of data and/or business process
· Interacts with all levels of management
· Participates in developing, documenting and maintaining complex business models for Information Technology projects
· Works with business partners and technical team to define, document, and review business and system requirements to support new projects
· Develops detailed documentation to support understanding of requirements in support of business, development, and Quality Assurance
· Assists in formulating and defining systems scope and objectives through research and fact finding
· Act as the liaison between Business and Systems Analysts, Developers and project management groups
· Develop detailed source-to-target data mapping and data transformation rules
· Develop and use enterprise service and data models
· Write system requirements
· Understanding of data gathering/analysis
· Work with test plans and test cases
· Facilitate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions Qualifications
Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree (Health Care discipline preferred)
· 5+ years for Health Care Payer experience preferred
· 3+ years of Business Analyst experience - requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with global team members and requires high attention detail
· 3+ years of experience with all phases of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - (preferred Agile methodology experience)
· 3+ years of gathering and documenting project requirements/specifications experience - should have experience with writing user stories and writing use cases
· 2+ years of experience with writing SQL queries for data analysis
· 2+ years of Systems Analyst experience with web and/or mobile application experience
· 2+ years of Relational database experience (DB2) and Data Warehouse concepts
