Client: L Brands

Location:  Columbus, OH Need Locals Only

I have a position coming at L Brands here in Columbus, OH for a UI Developer with Spark.  Need to have excellent communication skills, ability to interview in person and any visa will work.  $50/HR C2C for 6 month contract.  Please let me know if you have anyone!

  

 

Position: Big Data Architect

Client: Quintiles IMS

Location: Plymouth Meeting, PA

Duration: 6 month contract

Interview: Phone followed by in-person   - (No Skype)

 Description:

QI would be interested in a senior level Big Data Architect. 

This individual ideally would have 4-5 years or more experience with HDFS,

Hive, Spark, Scala, Impala, Kudu, and other big data / Hadoop ecosystem

technologies. 

Expert level proficiency in these technologies needed to be an authoritative

source in advising, guiding, and mentoring less experienced resources. 

 

 

The individual would be required to perform the following duties...

- Interact with internal business partners globally to translate business

needs into proper architectural designs

- Provides estimates and guidance on timing, costs, and resource needs for

projects

- Provide guidance and direction to lower level technical resources

- May have to code along with those lower level resources at times

- Provides review and approval of work products from lower level resources

- Has the ability to communicate well up and out to senior management and

peer level resources

- Is experienced with Agile software development techniques - experience

with Jira and Confluence is a plus

- Job could require travel globally at times, but would not be a heavy

travel job

- Position could potentially require administrative management of lower

level technical resources (negotiable if an issue)

- Seeking a well-rounded individual with good soft skills in interacting

with other people to compliment the needed technical skills

- Experience in the pharmaceutical or general healthcare industry is a plus
