Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Accountable for the identification & development of database solutions by working diligently to know business units, applications development and operational data needs. Responsible for designing and developing efficient data structures, creating environment that produces standard, efficient, high-quality, error-free, well-documented code. Establishes methods for transitioning database objects through a repeatable / proven deployment process.

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

• DDL
• Indexing tables
• TFS Experience is a must

 

EXPERIENCE:

• 7+ years of database development / design

• Development of Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 (or later) T-SQL queries, applications development with imbedded SQL, stored procedures, functions.

• Query performance tuning and optimization

 

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Creates solutions by defining standardized database structures and functional capabilities

• Experienced with Erwin to develop and maintain logical and physical models

• Knowledge and experience with Team Foundation Server (TFS) / Visual Studio as a repository of database structure and objects

• Experienced in data modeling & database design of OLTP (operational) & OLAP (data warehouse / Business Intelligence) databases

• Works with business units, developers, and project teams to gather requirements and develop database solutions.

• Create & maintain data dictionary to ensure consistency and adherence to standards

• Develops and enforces naming standards within data structures & database object

• Packages database changes for migration through database development lifecycle to minimize

• Assist developers in creating physical database designs

• Ability to work with database design, development, and administration of large scale operational and data warehousing systems using Microsoft SQL Server and IBM DB2/LUW

 

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• IBM DB2 Linux experience

• Power BI, Micro Focus Cobol

• Team Foundation Server configuration, setup & automated builds

 

 

Note: We are Working with tier-1 Vendor.
