Content Publisher/Web Administrator – Retail Licensed Brands
General Function:
The Retail Licensed Brands team is looking for a new Content Publisher / Web Administrator to be the subject matter expert on our optical websites. The Content Publisher/ Web Administrator is a critical role in the marketing team with strong partnership with the eCommerce and Strategy teams. He/she will be supporting high-growth plans in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and will have a passion for seeing the fruits of his/her labor come to life online while ensuring that our customers have the best experience possible engaging with the website. As an independent contributor, the role requires strong organization skills, attention to detail and comfort with juggling multiple priorities.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
Own the execution of content publishing from campaign concept through completion, including product updates and revisions.
Partner with team members to identify and define update requirements, scope and objectives relating to content changes, product updates and promotion functionality.
Modify image or text assets to respond to business needs and user-experience improvement opportunities.
Estimate, plan and organize tasks to keep deliverables on track.
Coordinate with IT to report and follow-up on defects.
Clearly communicate roadblocks and potential risks as necessary.
Create mock-ups to support web development requests.
Utilize test environment to thoroughly QA work and validate work for accuracy once in production.
Create web pages from graphic source files as required.
Assuring that code meets pre-established standards.
Maintain process documentation and test scripts of key tasks to ensure continuous improvement and efficiency.
Facilitate product photography with agency and product team
Lead content/functionality testing
Implement SEO recommendations
Facilitate vendor workflow to meet brand needs and help manage vendor relations
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience of working in a similar role.
Proficient with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
Appreciation for design aesthetics.
Ability to work as an integral part of a team to develop great relationships and work with internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Highly responsive and able to multitask and take initiative.
Excellent attention to detail which is paramount.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of consumer web site goals and objectives and business goals for each division
Quality assurance, user acceptance testing, and web site launch procedures
Technical experience with troubleshooting Web site errors and content issues
Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical team members about site issues and resolution
Software and Technical Skills:
Use of Web Content Management Systems (IBM WebSphere a plus but not required)
Experience with HTML and JavaScript a plus
Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
MS Access knowledge a plus but not required
Knowledge of SEO best practices a plus but not required
Comfortable with browser testing and debugging tools, like: Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
