Position: Business Analyst Location: Richmond, VA Duration: Long Term Interview: In-person Local candidates *mgr may choose to conduct phone screens for See below for details candidates, in-state candidates must interview in person, NO exceptions *position will extended beyond 6/30/17 for possible 6-12 months The ITSD Division is currently seeking a Mid-Level Business Systems Analyst to analyze business processes, develop business requirements and manage agency-wide technical projects. Responsibilities include generating high level, detailed system requirements, developing epics / stories for Agile software development, and creating / grooming backlogs related to projects in collaboration with the product owner. Additional duties include articulating and documenting user system requirements, proactively collaborating with product owners to ensure successful implementations align with business processes and conducting joint application design sessions. Duties also include developing and interpreting data flow diagrams and making recommendations concerning screen flows, process flow and reporting needs. Qualified applicants must have knowledge of requirement elicitation techniques as well as experience documenting system requirements and facilitating sprint planning, review and retrospective sessions. The demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, as well as successfully manage and resolve conflict is paramount. Additional qualifications include proficiency with various software tools, advanced Agile software development methodology skills and prior senior level experience as a business systems analyst. Preferred qualifications include a related Bachelors Degree; IIBA, Agile or other related certification; and experience with project management software applications, tools and techniques.
