Position: Quality Engineer II
Duration: 6 month

The Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for designing and architecting the automation frameworks used for testing our systems and business processes. This role collaborates with project management, developers and testers to understand the goals of the project and the testing needs. The candidate must demonstrate a solid understanding of software testing methods and automation frameworks.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Architect, design and implement a customized test automation strategy, based on industry standard processes
· Analyze existing automation structure to identify needs or gaps and/or develop new automation tools/frameworks and other supporting testing software to meet management expectations
· Work with QE and Development team to increase automation test coverage, improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing efforts
· Create, document and execute automation test strategies and test plans
· Conduct test automation activities including creating, executing and maintaining test scripts
· Identification, investigation, reporting and tracking bugs to resolution
· Collect and analyze metrics, prepare test automation status and test results summary reports
· Manage test environment; specifications, builds, trouble shooting
· Evaluate tools and processes and provide recommendations to promote best practices
· Evaluate and work with third party vendors to assist in testing efforts, as required
· Mentor and train QE team members on automation
· Assist QE team members as required
· Perform other duties and projects as assigned
· Ability to obtain Sensitive Clearance
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· Must be a US Citizen,GC,EADGC Ability to work under minimal supervision, train and guide other team members
· Ability to critically think through defects, issues, risks, and action items and determine appropriate course of action and ensure its implementation
· Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users.
· Self-motivated; ability to motivate others
· Project and task oriented with a focus to details.
· Solid understanding of quality engineering methodologies in a high tech environment
· Advanced working knowledge with MS SQL Server
· Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall Methodology
· Expert on automation frameworks fundamentals Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
· Travel up to 50%
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Four-year college degree, preferably in CS, engineering or other technical field, or equivalent experience
· Minimum three years of hands-on experience as a software quality engineering analyst.
· Minimum five years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, executing and maintaining automated test suites. (experience as a software developer will be considered)
· Experience with automation frameworks and tools such as such as TestNG or Junit, Test Complete, Selenium or QTP
· Advanced experience with Java or other object oriented technologies
· Experience in developing enterprise automation frameworks for UI and non UI testing
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Experience with Performance and Load Testing Familiar with OWASP methodologies and tools for testing of security in applications
· Familiarity with client/server and n-tier system architectures and object oriented development
· Any relevant IT certification
