looking for a senior/mid level Java/Scala developer, who can be part of a dynamic front office team which supports the ABS & CLO trading desks. As part of the role s/he would be responsible for helping develop, debug and maintain new and existing applications primarily written in Perl and Java. The position requires good knowledge of Fixed Income bonds and the underlying analytics for pricing the bonds, this is not a prerequisite and selected candidates should be able to learn the domain. A thorough understanding in databases and in writing efficient and performant queries is required.
Candidate should have a very good understanding of design and system architecture and the ability to work on all aspects of software development from requirement collection to analysis, design, development and testing.
This is a front office role with Business faceoff.
Preferable work experience: 7+ years
Dev Skills:
• Expertise in more than 1 programming language, preferably Java/Perl/Scala in that order
• Experience in working with databases
• Experience developing on Unix , Shell scripting
• Some exposure to Fixed Income analytics would be great or should show keen interest in learning it
Personal Skills:
• Good communication skills, ability to multitask, proactive, strong organization skills
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
• Team player and have ownership mentality
• Ability and willingness to learn new technologies and business domain
