Role : Cloud Solution Architect ( Microsoft Azure preffered)
Location : Overland park, KS
Duration : 6 months.
Need US Citizens only.
Description:
Position Overview:
The Applications Solution Architect works with IT leaders and project teams to implement strategic and tactical IT solutions, review project architectures & compliance, propose new solutions to add value and grow the business, and assist the development & production support teams as needed.
Job Description:
• 30% participate as solution architect on project teams implementing new IT solutions or significant changes to existing solutions
• 30% work with client stakeholders and application teams to review IT solutions to insure compliance with standards and best practices
• 10% work with IT leaders and key stakeholders to revise IT strategies and policies; review and update documentation
• 10% lead technical development for proposals; initiate unsolicited proposals for solutions that bring significant value to the client and grow the account
• 10% production support activities including providing expertise to aid in resolving critical incidents and conduct root cause analysis
• 10% development activities including assisting project management, leading work product reviews and mentoring/coaching/assisting project team members
Required Experience:
• 5+ years custom application design& development
• 3+ years application design, implementation, configuration, troubleshooting and support
• 7+ years solution architect experience with large enterprise and multiple complex enterprise solution implementations
Mandatory Qualifications:
• Business aptitude, client focus, ability to bridge the gap between business & IT
• Strong verbal and written communication ability
• Broad knowledge of IT infrastructure concepts and technologies including server, storage and networking
• Experience with cloud solution architectures (Microsoft Azure preferred)
• Broad knowledge of custom software development including processes (waterfall and agile methodologies), patterns and best practices, application topologies, integration technologies, diverse languages and popular runtimes
• Broad knowledge of data architectures and experience designing and implementing transactional, reporting and data warehouse solutions
• Experience with (1) risk analysis and mitigation, (2) security analysis and vulnerability mitigation and (3) disaster recovery planning, review and improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
• Architect certification (TOGAF, Azure)
Database: Oracle and SQL Server
• Web Servers: Microsoft IIS, Apache Tomcat
• Knowledge of common enterprise architectures (Microsoft applications, EMC Documentum, Bentley ProjectWise, Citrix)
• storage concepts and technologies
• networking concepts and technologies
• security concepts and technologies
• Experience under CMMI level 3 or higher
• Experience with ITIL
