SCM Consultant

Long term contract

Responsibilities:
Administer SCM tools, processes and services
Adhere to SCM processes, policies and procedures
Perform Software Builds to support of development projects
Release software to target environments based on project schedules
Advise project teams on SCM best practices
Troubleshoot problematic builds by working with development teams
Create SCM plans with project teams to include branch/merge strategies
Research and deploy updates to SCM systems in support of team needs
Proactively engage project teams to perform server configuration analysis
Develop scripts for server configurations as code under version control
Analyze Applications Servers and advise teams regarding configuration drift
Skills:
Support/administer SW Version Control Systems (One year of experience desired)
Tools: GITHUB Preferred
Support/Configure SW Build systems (One year of experience desired)
Tools: Team City and Nuget Preferred
Code Deployments to garget environments V Test/Development/Production (One year of experience desired)
Tools: MS Deploy and Octopus Deploy preferred
Server side scripting languages (One year of experience desired)
Tools: PowerShell and Ruby preferred
Change Control Board Experience (One year of experience desired)
DevOps practices to include coordination of technical needs between SCM, Technical Services, Security and networking teams (One year of experience desired)
