Description:
This is a migration project so anyone who has experience in a migration project is required.
This role is hands-on, and you'll be implementing alongside other developers while championing a clean, pragmatic design for the entire system.
Design and implement highly available systems for ingesting and distributing weather and aviation data
Prepare, collaborate on, and review Software Engineering designs and implementations in Scala and Java using functional and OO programming
Contribute to and review product requirements and QA test plans
Help customer support in identifying and resolving operational issues
Required Technical and Professional Expertise:
8+ years of related experience in full cycle software development with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities
Experience with software development in Java, including build automation tools such as Maven
Experience with non-relational (NoSQL) databases
Experience with in-memory data stores and caches
Experience with large scale data/distributed systems
Experience with multithreading and concurrency
Experience with professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, agile development, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience with cloud computing and Scala
Knowledge of Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB
