Title : IOS Developer

Location: Washington

Duration : Long Term Contract

Minimum 10 Years of Total IT experience and atleast 5 years of experience in IOS Development 

Business & Project Overview

·  Primary focus is on smartphone and tablet apps, but this role will include work on emerging non-PC platforms (like smart TVs and consoles)

·  This is a long-term contractor role with the potential to convert, based on performance

·  This is mobile app native development for iOS - adding features to core apps

Requirements

·  Provide strong guidance and directly contribute to feature design, architecture and implementation

·  Interact directly with peer developers, Product Management, Design, QA and remote server-side engineering groups as part of a cohesive team

·  Inspire others with your passion for mobile development

·  Demonstrated experience with iOS app development

·  Excellent interpersonal skills - you must be comfortable in small and large groups and interacting with product teams, designers and management

·  Flexible problem-solving ability

·  Strong product focus; our client expects everyone to do what is needed to deliver the best product for customers

·  Excellent communication skills, both inside and outside of the engineering team

·  Someone who likes to create new things, both inside and outside of the work environment

Typical Day

·  2-week sprints, in an Agile fashion

·  Participate in daily stand-up and be assigned stories from the sprint to work on with other developers (and in consultation and collaboration with designers and product managers)

·  Our client is solely developing native apps, and developers are expected to understand mobile interaction patterns, standards and capabilities

Mandatory skills, background & technologies

·  10+ years of development experience, 5 of which must be mobile

·  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

·  Deep understanding of mobile, client-server development

·  Experience developing consumer apps

·  Released apps into the App store (or open source)

·  Design and architecture knowledge

·  Experience with Agile software development

·  Objective-C

·  Swift

·  Xcode

·  Understands business, technical and customer inputs to define new and/or changes to existing customer experiences

·  Collaborates with Customer Experience and UX teams to ensure implementation of designed customer experiences
