Position:- QA Tester with Big Data technologies (Teradata, Hadoop)

Location:- Santa Clara, CA

Duration:- 6+ Months

MOI:- Telephonic + Skype

 

Job Responsibilities:

·         Testing complex features, which include designing test scenarios, creating test plans, implementing, automating and executing test cases.

·         Develop automated tests for features, which manage, distribute and monitor computation across large clusters.

·         Create and improve test frameworks to satisfy automation and reporting.

·         Interact with test engineers and managers to simulate customer scenarios which help validate the product.

·         Identify and propose areas of improvement throughout the software development process

·         Work effectively in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment

·         Communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Required skills:

·         Passion for QA and knack for identifying tests that break code.

·         Strong grasp of operating systems concepts including filesystems, networks, and memory management.

·         Good understanding of algorithms and advanced data structures.

·         Strong defect root cause analysis and problem solving skills 

·         3+ Years' experience working in any Object Oriented Language expertise (e.g. Java, Python…)

·         Working knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, Big Data technologies (such as Teradata, Hadoop and MapReduce) gained through a combination of academic studies and work experience.

·         Added advantage if candidate has experience with Hadoop, SPARK or AWS.

·         Added advantage working knowledge of big data technologies

·         Knowledge and experience working in analytics is added advantage

·         Experience in an Agile development process, such as XP and Scrum

·         Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

·         Ability to collaborate effectively with inter-disciplinary teams and management

·         Motivated self-starter, with a high capacity for rapid learning and meticulous attention to detail

Preferred Education:

·         BS or MS degree in computer science or computer engineering

·         3+ years of relevant experience
