POSITION SUMMARY
This Technical Specialist 2 position will be joining the State of Iowa's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to work on an existing Agile Scrum project as the project's Scrum Master.
Initially, the job will require working with Drupal developers and content managers to manage a large portfolio of websites. In the future, the Scrum Master may transition to other projects utilizing other programming languages, such as C#.NET. Technical expertise and Agile Scrum background will be heavily tested during the interview process. A preference will be given to candidates who have an application development background.
REQUIREMENTS
Required
· 5 years experience as a Scrum Master and Agile Coach
· 5 years experience as an application developer
· 5 years experience with automated unit testing
· 3 years experience with HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery
Preferred
· Experience with Drupal content management system
· Experience with C#, ASP.NET, and MVC
Further Requirements
· Understand basic fundamentals of agile and iterative development
· Understand other processes and methodologies and can speak intelligently about them, and can leverage other techniques to provide value to a team/enterprise
· Understand basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures
· Understand the value of commitments to delivery made by a development team
· Understand backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, and task definition
· Ability to proactively participate in customer engagements, follow direction from lead technicians, work with customers, and participate in technical planning
· Possess strong communications skills
