Position: Information Security Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 6+months

GC or USC only !!!

 

Responsibilities 

Reduce risk to the organization through the execution of IT Security controls

·         Scripting and automation of security processes.

·         Develop the Bank's threat intelligence program – aggregate data from several feeds, alerts, analyze and disseminate intelligence to stakeholders.

·         Administer vulnerability management processes to identify, track and reduce risk.

·         Execute and report on email based phishing tests.

·         Analyze and respond to network or system alerts relating to security and operations (anti-virus, network IDS, event logs, system availability, etc).

·         Perform forensics including disk imaging and timeline analysis.

·         Knowledge or experience in Agile/Scrum work methodologies.

·         MS Office product (notably Outlook, Word and Excel)

·         Requires advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.

·         Power Shell or other scripting languages.

·         Firewall and IDS administration.

·         Incident response and forensics tools.

·         Experience requirements

·         3-5 years of security or technology experience.

·         6-8 years of experience necessary without a degree.

·         Threat Intelligence, Incident Response or Vulnerability Management experience is preferred.

·         Automation using PowerShell or other scripting languages is preferred.

·         4 year college degree in information technology or equivalent experience.

·         Certifications related to Information Security are highly preferred (CISSP, SANS GSEC, etc.)

·         Knowlegde, Skills, ablilties, and behaviors required

·         Must have good communication (verbal, written, and listening) skills.

·         Advanced knowledge of IT security controls.

·         Understanding of how vulnerabilities can impact enterprise technology systems and create risk to the organization.

·         Will require the ability to be a self-starter and to work independently as well as in a team setting.
