Linux Administrator

Location: Twinsburg, OH.

Duration: 9 months

Rate: $43/hr on c2c

Implementation partner / Client: Apex systems / Wind stream - OH

 

Required:

Solaris - LDOM technology, v 10 and 11. VLAN Trunking on 'Solaris Box, ZFS using MPXIO & Veritas Vol Management, veritas cluster.

Linux: Redhat, volume Manager, v. 5&6, Vol Manager using redhat linux

Nice to have: Linux virtualization and high availability

 

Job Description:

Perform the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of computer systems with UNIX and/or Linux operating systems. Provide technical support and troubleshoot problems on Unix and/or Linux operating systems. May be responsible for script writing. Conducts tasks and assignments as directed. Works under moderate supervision with some latitude for independent judgment.

 

Responsibilities:

Work to convert physical Linux boxes to virtual machines. There will also be the responsibility of moving to supported versions of these OS's.
